Seat: Post 3, representing unincorporated Hoschton

Current term: 2027-2030

David Talford was appointed to the Fire Board’s Post 3 seat in April 2026, to fill the remainder of a vacated term, and will stand for election in 2026. 

A longtime emergency communications professional with AT&T, he has supported first responders throughout his career and is eager to bring that experience to public service. Recently retired, David looks  forward to being an active, engaged board member as the department continues supporting the community. 

He and his wife live near the fire department in unincorporated Hoschton. He enjoys bowling, fishing and spending time with his family, including three grown children and five grandchildren.
