Truck 31/C Shift

Captain Michael Glover started his career as a volunteer firefighter in 2006. Captain Glover quickly learned that the fire service was something that he wanted to do for a career. He obtained his initial firefighter certification and shortly after he enrolled in EMT school. He obtained his EMT Certification in 2007, and was hired full time by a metro Atlanta fire dept. Captain Glover joined the West Jackson Fire Department in May of 2015. Promoted to the rank of Captain in March of 2021, He is currently assigned to Truck 31 C-Shift as well as the Fleet Maintenance Officer. Captain Glover maintains certifications in Fire/EMS, Hazardous Materials Techician, Fire Officer 1, Structural Fire Control Instructor, Fire Instructor. He is eager to continue his training to further his knowledge of the fire service.

He is married to his high school sweetheart Cheryl, together they have three children, and have two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, deep sea fish, and traveling. He and his wife started a journey several years ago to see all 50 states. Every year they take a few weeks and go to states they have never seen.
