In 2013 she became a full-time firefighter with the department. During that time, she became a Fire Apparatus Operator and an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. She was in this program for over 10 years, eventually becoming a teacher in the program herself.

She currently works part time for the department. Spending her days off assisting at an animal sanctuary and running her own farm in Greene County where she resides with her son. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and rescue animals. She also enjoys hiking and archery.
